Yesterday I was feeling the depth of cold that can appear in a southerly wind, here in Christchurch. The Garden City is a mass of blossom and colour right now. But a stream of cold wind, from the south, has taken the edge of the pleasure of the early summer in this city. A wedding at this time would have to take a cold wind into account. so any Christchurch wedding venue which is now advertising and discussing wedding receptions with bride and mothers of the bride will have to have a contingency plan. There is nothing more cold than the bare shoulders of a lovely bride on a rainy day with a southerly blowing.
