Let’s be honest, the job industry right now is pretty low. You can’t turn on the news without hear the bad news about more layoffs somewhere. That’s not going to happen to me, though, because I’m working toward obtaining my respiratory therapy degree and the employment for therapists like me is expected to grow almost 19%. Grow, when all other markets are shrinking. Getting old is never easy, and older Americans suffer with respiratory diseases, like pneumonia, which is where people like me who have degrees come in. As more and more middle aged Americans grow older, the need for respiratory therapists will increase. I’m not going to be another statistic, I’m joining the growing job industry.
