Sanibel Island is one of the most perfect paradise islands in the world, but if you are looking for an even more secluded area, try a visit to Captiva Island.  Captiva and Sanibel were once one island and got separated by a hurricane that created a new channel between the two.  Captiva is only four miles long and one half a mile wide making it one of the smallest pieces of paradise in the world.  The Sanibel Causeway and Sanibel-Captiva road are the only ways to access the island and there is a fee to get onto the island.  It is secluded, small, and the perfect excursion while visiting Sanibel Islands.
